Halloween 2008

Lions, Pirates, Alice, and A Flapper??? OH MY!!!!

Halloween was a hit this year because we all actually had costumes. Madison loves it when Andrew and I dress up. So Andrew, Maddy and Drew decided to be pirates, Gavin was a lion, Audrey was Alice in Wonderland, and I was a Flapper. Okay so we didn't really have a theme but it was still fun to all get dressed up. Nana came up to join us for the evening. It is the first time she has spent Halloween with the grandkids. All of her grandkids adore her and so it was nice to have her with us this year.

Here she is with Gavin.

So we started off the evening at the Ramirez house for some Chili and our own little truck or treat. There was only five or so cars and so we took to the streets to get us some candy. Drew was really into it this year and would run up to the door and yell YO HO HO instead of Trick or Treat. His little pumpkin was so heavy and full by the end of the night. After we had done our fair share of walking we headed back to Dan and Krystal's for some photo opts. This is the best we got.

Gavin was super cute as a lion. I just loved his little face peering out at us.

We never got a good group shot of our family. Too many moving parts I guess. But this one was the best.

I love this one of the girls because Audrey is showing off her poodle. She is so obsessed with dogs. She has to take it everywhere with her.

After we got Gavin undressed my mom decided she wanted a picture with all the grandkids. Gavin was not going to put that outfit back on. I love Drew's face in this one. He was definitely done taking pictures.

Carnivals

Temecula is a great city to live in. They are very family oriented and always have fun things planned during the different holidays. We have lived here for three years now and this is the first time we have gone to the Temecula Carnival. We went with the Arnolds and their four kids and we had a blast. We will definitley be going again next year. At the Carnival, you paid $5 per kid and then you were given a wrist band to do all the fun activities which included a bounce slide, a bounce house, fun carnival games, face painting
and balloon making. Balloon making always fasinates me. How do they do it? Although Drew didn't look so happy in this picture, he had a great time at the carnival.

Crazy Hair Day

Each year at school, they have a crazy hair day. I usually use this day as an excuse not to brush or do anything with hair. However, the girls wanted their hair done in crazy pigtails all around their heads. Their hair maybe be crazy but so are their expressions. Maybe next year we can plan ahead and put some colors in their hair too.

Halloween At Joy School

The kids had a Halloween party at Joy School. Drew has been totally obessessed with Pirates and so he was so excited to wear this Pirate costume. How cute is this group of kids?!? I have really enjoyed doing Joy School this year. It is fun to see the different things they learn. I was so impressed. Drew knew the words and actually sang the songs for the group.

Then it was onto the important stuff...well for the kids atleast. Cookies and milk.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was getting dinner ready and Drew and Audrey were playing around. I didn't look back but I could tell that Audrey was chasing Drew. Then all of a sudden Drew let out this horrific scream. Instantly I could tell he was hurt. I ran around the counter to find him laying on the ground by the table with a blanket over his head. I took the blanket off and this is what I saw. I could not believe how huge the bump was. I am still not sure exactly how it happened but I think he ran directly into the corner of the table. Lesson learned...lets not run with blankets over our heads.

Peltzer Farms

This year Drew is in a Joy School with four other kids. For a little field trip, we went to Peltzer Farms. It was a really really hot day but the kids still had a lot of fun. Andrew, Madison, and Audrey were able to come with us. The tour of the pumpkin patch started off with a little lesson about seeds. Then it was off the the corn maze. Drew had a fun time running through there trying to find his way out. I think he would of preferred to just keep running around in there and not actually find his way out. After that it was onto the little petting zoo. I think the kids had the most fun there. They were given food so they could feed the animals. Drew was having such a great time and it was so fun to watch. At the end they were able to choose their own small pumpkins. And when I say small, I mean small. We will definitely have to get some at the store to carve for Halloween. While searching for their pumpkins they also found this ghost and tractor to play with.

Drew Turns Three

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY DREW!!!!

Drew,

You are three years old. Where has the time gone? You have grown up way to fast and to be honest, I am a little bummed about it. I have enjoyed you the last three years. I would definitely say that we are buddies. You were a great baby and have always been a fun little kid to be around. I love having you around and spending time with you. You are a boy at heart...you love to throw the football with Daddy, kick the soccer ball with your sisters, play at the park, jump on the trampoline, play cars and you also have loved riding bikes. You got a bike for your birthday and I just wish I could of caught the enthusiasm in a picture. When you opened it, you hopped right on and took off around the cudasac. I think the batman helmet was just icing on the cake. You have also been very into Mickey Mouse. You love watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse and when I asked you what kind of cake you wanted, you adamently said Mickey Mouse. When you look back on this, I want you to know that your daddy made you your cake. Pretty impressive huh? Well, your daddy is impressive in many more ways, but I was very impressed with how your cake turned out. I am glad you are a part of our lives. Mom and Dad love you very much. Here is to many more years to come...Happy Birthday Drew.
