Look Who's Smiling

A couple of Wednesdays ago (Feb 6th ) Gavin started smiling. I couldn't believe it. He seemed so young. I have tried a couple of times to get it on video. I finally got it. Here it is.

Happy Valentines Day

These are my two handsome devils. I had to take a picture of Gavin in his cute shirt. Andrew's mom gave Drew that shirt when he was around Gavin's age. It is cold here today (it was 80 on Monday) and so I put a white long sleeve shirt under it to keep him warm. I sure do love these boys and I hope they grow up to be best buddies.

A Long Awaited Visit

So my brother and his wonderful girlfriend Kendra came to see little Gavin for the first time on Saturday, February 2nd. I had to give him a hard time for taking so long to come and see us. So they came out on Saturday night. I got a babysitter for my little ones except Gavin, he came with us to dinner. We ate at Johnny Carinos. Their Italian Nachos are sooo good. Anyway, it was fun to see Nick and Kendra and be able to have a nice, uniterupted conversation. Afterwards, we came home and played Dominos. Nick won. Thanks for coming and seeing us you guys. We need to do that more often.

Hannah Montana Concert

So for those of you who have girls, you already know the big pop sensation Hannah Montana. Madison and Audrey love her. So I tried to get tickets to the real concert back in November, but the seats were sold out when I got to ticketmaster 15 minutes after they opened. Andrew was shocked by Hannah Montana's popularity and the price some people were charging on the internet ($1300 a seat...yikes) Needless to say we were unable to go to her concert. However, Disney decided to make a movie of her concert and play it for a one week engagement..of course they extended that now...huge money maker. I think I would like to be Hannah Montana..own tv show, clothing line, shoe line, concerts, toys, cds...seriously this 14 year old girl must be loaded. Anyway, we wnt on opening day, Friday, February 1st. There were girls everywhere. The show was in 3D and so here are some pictures of us with our glasses on. The girls had a great time and I secretly did too. I enjoy this teeny bopper stuff.

Thank You Mom

So on Wednesday, January 30th, I was doing some laundry when I looked out my window and who did I see pulling in my driveway....my mom. She surprised me and came up to help me out. It was so wonderful to have her here. I was able to get to the store and do a couple other of errands. It is just to hard to run errands with all the kids. Thank you mom, you are a lifesaver. Here is a picture of her with my kids. They sure do love their nana. When the garage opened and Drew saw her, he squealed in excitement and ran and gave her a hug. I am glad they enjoy having her around as much as I do.

Happy Birthday Allison

So I know that I am not so good with posting when things happen, but I have good intentions. Since I am not good at keeping a journal, this is my way of documenting, even if it is almost a month late. My niece turned 3 on January 22nd. It is hard to believe that three years have passed by. We moved from Utah just weeks after she was born. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is smart, sweet, and cute, and very thoughtful. Anyway, we celebrated her birthday on Saturday, January 26th. It was a fun day. We had cake and ice cream and played Dan and Krystal's new Rock Band on XBox. The kids thought it was just as much fun as we did. Here is Audrey rocking out on the guitar. I didn't get a picture of Maddy, but she was a mean drummer (she takes after her Aunt Krystal).
And here is my brother Dan, my mom, and Andrew practicing their rocker faces. I think my mom looks too sweet to be a rocker.

Something Sweet

My little Madison has such a tender heart and is always trying to make me feel better when I am upset. So last Friday (February 8th) I was feeling sick and the morning had gotten away from me. I was late taking Madison to school. I got the kids in the car. As I put my car into reverse and pushed on the gas, I heard this huge crunch. Yes, I guess the garage door had not gone up all the way and I ran our new car into the garage door. I was so upset. It left a dent in the garage door and took off the paint on my car. So Madison was trying to ask me what had happened and I told her I was too upset to talk about it. To this she replys, "Mom, I can stay home from school today and help you out." She was very sincere and I appreciated her willingness to help. My husband was also very sweet about the whole incident and said, "I know you are doing the best you can, don't worry about it, we will get it fixed." I have the best family
