Blue Lily Photos

My friend started Blue Lily Photography. She is an amazing photographer. She has her own unique style that is breathtaking. Here is a link to the photos she took of Gavin. When you get to the web site, look under gallery and find Gavins name. http://www.bluelily.squarespace.com

My Cute Kids

Audrey dressed Drew the other day and I thought it was so cute that I had to take a picture. If you can't tell, she has him in his swim trunks, a yellow shirt of his, a purple shirt of hers and a tie. What an outfit. Maybe she will be in the fashion industry some day--this outfit sure makes a statement.

A Visit From Utah

Two weeks after Gavin was born, Andrew's mom and sisters were able to come and see Gavin. I was so excited to have them come and visit. Their time here went way to fast and we were sad to see them go. Here is a picture of them before we had to go to the airport. Thanks for coming and visiting us. We sure loved having you here. On the left is Andrew's sister Diana, and on the right is his sister Camille.

My Mom is the Greatest

Gavin came at a great time. Since he came on Friday, Andrew had the weekend, Monday and Tuesday off. My mom went home on Monday morning, but then came up to celebrate New Years Eve with us. However, there was not much of a party going on here. I slept until I feed Gavin at 1145pm and then we all watched the ball drop in Times Square. We spent Tuesday with my mom and Dan and Krystal. It was a really fun day. When Andrew went back to work, my mom stayed with me. I loved having her here. She is such a help and just does things without being asked. She feed us, took care of me and the kids, and kept the house clean (which is not always that easy) I am always sad when the week comes to an end and she has to go home. Sad is probably not an accurate word-DEPRESSED! I am left wondering how I am going to do this on my own. I sure do miss her company and my kids miss her too. She is a great mom that always puts the needs of her kids before her own and will drop anything to help you out. Thanks mom for all the help and support. I love you. The pictures above are of us the night she went home. Although I look happy, I am crying on the inside. Below is a picture of all the grand kids. Dan and Krystal were here the night she went home and everyone wanted a picture with their Nana. She sure is loved. Love you mom!!!

Our New Arrival

Better late than never. I wanted to do this sooner, but I just can't seem to find the time. I am still adjusting to having four kids. Anyway, Krystal gave a very accurate account. I will just fill in some of the details. I spent most of Christmas Eve and Christmas day off of my feet so as not to go into labor on either of those days. My plan worked. On Thursday, the 27th of December, I went to see the doctor. She told me that I was dilated to a three. We set up an inducement for Sunday at 4am. It was the only time that was available before the new year, so I took it. I went home and decided that I would clean the house from top to bottom. I finished cleaning a little after 12 am. I finally got into bed around 1am. I never could fall asleep and then around 130am, I started to feel some pains. I hadn't had any "real" contractions during the day and so I wondered if I was in labor or if my back just hurt really bad from cleaning. I waited a little and then woke up Andrew who had just dozed off. I had to call my neighbor in the middle of the night since Dan and Krystal were staying down at my moms. So she came over and we left for the hospital. I was in a lot of pain. The contractions were coming about every two minutes and I was having the labor in my back. For those of you who have experienced back labor, it is the worst. Anyway, we got to the hospital around 245am and Gavin didn't waste much time. He was born at 330. I was glad he came so fast because I couldn't handle the pain much longer. I am not sure why anyone would willingly go without an epidural. I was sad that my mom didn't make the delivery. She actually made it to the hospital in time, but they didn't let her come into my room. She came in just after he was born. Gavin is healthy and happy and we are so glad to have him home. He weighed 6lbs. 10 oz. and was 19 inches long.

Catch Up

Okay, so I haven't blogged in a long time. I think that I am just computer illiterate. I was having a hard time just downloading the pictures that I wanted to. Krystal has shown me the light and now I think it won't be so hard to keep up. So here is a few pictures from the Holidays-ranging from Halloween to Christmas.

Andrew was a vampire for Halloween. Madison and Audrey were Vets. Audrey just loves animals. Maybe one day she will be a real vet. Drew was a pilot. They all loved getting the candy. I kept finding them eating it at 7 in the morning. I finally hid it in a popcorn box and sealed it up.

Christmas Time-Fun with Santa
We waited for an hour and a half-needless to say, Drew was tired and not so happy to sit with Santa.
Audrey was awed by Santa. This is such a cute look she is giving him.
